TFN Tenerife North Airport (“Los Rodeos”)

The international airport of “Los Rodeos-Tenerife Norte” is located in the north of the island, in the district of La Laguna which is about 10 kilometres from the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. One of the two airports on Tenerife, it mainly operates flights between islands and to mainland Spain, although there are some international flights. Every year almost four million passengers use this airport, which can be reached via the TF-5 motorway.

Around 50% of all flights to and from Tenerife North are Inter Island flights between Tenerife and Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, El Hierro and La Gomera. The remainder of the flights mostly go to and from Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Bilbao. The main airlines using Tenerife Airport North are: Air Europa, British Airways / Iberia, Britannia, Hapag Lloyd and Spanair.

TFS Tenerife South Airport (“Reina Sofia”)

The “Aeropuerto Tenerife Sur – Reina SofĂ­a” is located in the district of Granadilla de Abona. From this airport over 150 airlines operate international, national and inter-island flights and almost nine million passengers use it every year making it one of the busiest airports in Spain. It is located very close to the tourist resorts in the south of the island and can be reached via the TF-1 motorway.

Flights from UK and Ireland to Tenerife

If you are flying to Tenerife at any time of year then you have a good selection of airlines to fly with and a choice of 23 UK Airports to fly from.

In total there are six “low cost” airlines providing flights to Tenerife they are: British Airways, Jet2, Monarch Scheduled, Aerlingus, Thomsonfly and Flyglobespan.

If you live in Scotland then you can fly direct to Tenerife with Flyglobespan. Flyglobespan offer flights from Aberdeen to Tenerife Edinburgh to Tenerife and Glasgow to Tenerife throughout the year.

Travellers from Ireland can now fly to Tenerife from Belfast, Cork and Dublin

If you live in the North West of England, Monarch offer daily flights from Manchester to Tenerife. We also supply information on charter flights operated by Thomsonfly from Blackpool and Liverpool to Tenerife as well.

when leaving the airport, take TF1 direction Santa Cruz (approx. 50 km) | shortly before Sta. Cruz change to TF5 (direction “Puerto de la Cruz”) | stay on TF5 until “Salida 27” | cross the highway bridge, keep right, and leave the circle to go up to the town center of La Victoria | short before the end of town you will see a tire shop (Neumatico, “FIRESTONE”) | take the street after the shop right/left/right | stay on Calle la Resbala (upwards) until you see no 21 / a white Canary house
park on the left side of the street (between the 2 doors) and ring the bell (your car can be parked in front of the house, you will have a secure closed parking space overnight)
